Environmental Policy
Triangle /dp, Since 1969 have built up considerable experience in recycling and using recycled products.
Paper represents between 30 and 40% of the final cost of our printed products, so it seemed
logical to look at our main ingredients first.
We were one of the first companies to use and experiment with post consumer waste papers and environmentally friendly ways of producing paper .we have built up considerable experience in their use.
In November 2008 we became successful in gaining membership of a certified FSC group chain of custody scheme as well as PEFC chain of custody, Chain of custody certification provides independent evidence that forest products originate from well managed forests,
By obtaining chain of custody certification triangle/dp can demonstrate its commitment economically, environmentally and socially to responsible forestry.
Energy and labour is the next biggest cost in the final product , we have always updated our equipment , so as to be a most efficient user of energy and process’s as possible , this includes insulated and recirculated heat from presses to warm the factory.
Shifts We run our presses 6 days 12 hours per day with two printers per press , the printers work 3 days on and 4 days off shift , this enables our staff to cut down on travel to and from work and less travel at congested times.
At triangle/dp, we also run digital presses , these presses are very good at using the exact amount, in terms of paper, ink etc, in other terms just the right amount for the job , so no waste and no harmful chemicals
Artwork , large files can be uploaded to our FTP site which cuts out the need for any transport.
Ink, All ink and tins are recycled and by only using soya and vegetable based inks we can supply on request a history report.
CTP, We were the first company in Bristol to use a computer to plate system , No film or related chemicals are used and all aluminium plates are recycled .Proofs are also generated from the same system.
Waste paper, Cardboard & plastics  ,are collected and recycled , Redundant paper  stock is sent to the “Scrap store ”to be put to use at Schools etc .
